Timeless jazz lines in ¾ format!
The timeless offset silhouette that inspired the design of the 3/4-size Eko VJB needs no introduction: the characteristic double cutaway for excellent access to the last fret, combined with two single pickups and a 4-bridge bridge/cordial block, but here with a reduced pitch (761 mm) for ease of playing!
This 'short scale' (or 3/4) format makes it an attractive electric bass, highly ergonomic and easy to play for children and small players. Guitarists who also want to take up the bass without suffering from acrobatic positions between the frets will be delighted, while retaining a true bass sound.
Quality lutherie
Despite its very affordable price, the VJB 3/4 has been carefully crafted to offer bassists new to the instrument an attractive, well-finished bass. The body, made from poplar for strength, is highlighted by a high-gloss varnish.
The sturdy, comfortable 4-point screwed maple neck is topped by a WPC (Wood Polymers Composites) Eko resin fingerboard that adds stability and warmth to the maple snap.
A versatile configuration
As for the electronics, the VJB 3/4 is equipped with 2 J-type single-coil pickups with a familiar layout, much appreciated for their snap, midrange and versatility. At home on warm, clear sounds, they can also be very biting and percussive when combined with powerful distortion. To extend the sonic possibilities, a volume control for each pickup and a general tone control allow you to mix the characteristics of the different pickups and adjust their timbre for greater or lesser brilliance. The bridge/cordial block incorporates independently adjustable bridges to fine-tune the action and harmonics of each string and ensure effective sustain.
